First Thanksgiving

First Thanksgiving

Landon celebrated his first Thanksgiving today.  Our morning started off rough because he freaked out when I put him in his jeans, button up shirt, and sweater vest.  I had tried the outfit on him last week and he didn’t seem to mind, today on the other hand he flipped out.  We attempted to get a family picture but none of them turned out.  I did manage to get a cute picture of him and Tessa together though.

Then we put him in his comfy clothes.

Landon did nap during dinner so we all got to eat warm food which was nice.

The Lacey’s were up north celebrating with Uncle Scott’s family but Aunt Penny bought Landon two new toys to play with.  Landon really liked the owl toy.

Grammy and Gino came down the the holiday and met Landon for the first time.

Keeping with tradition Gigi and Papa have Landon his first ornament. They started an airplane set for him.

Handsome

Handsome

This morning while taking Landon’s outfit picture I asked him “Who’s so handsome?” and this is the face I got.

Disneyland…again!

Disneyland…again!

Today we went back to Disneyland to spend the day with Tia since she has Mondays off.  This was our third trip in a week and a half. Gigi and Aunt Polly also joined in the fun.  Some memories from the day…

Uncle Matt surprised Tessa at dinner and actually got some cuddle time with Landon while she was eating

Bundled up for the parade

Christmas Lights and Blow Ups

Christmas Lights and Blow Ups

Today Daddy and Tessa put up the blow ups and Christmas lights.  Landon liked being outside and watched.  He was less than impressed with the actual blow ups and just wanted me to snuggle him in the carrier.  Hopefully he enjoys our nightly walks around the neighborhood to see the lights more.

Visiting Santa

Visiting Santa

Today we packed up the kids (and all their crap!) to head to California Adventure to visit Santa.  Gigi bought Landon and Tessa matching Christmas outfits to wear and they both looked adorable.  Once we parked I realized that I forgot Landon’s shoes.  I wanted to meltdown but I realized that in the big scheme of things it wasn’t that big of a deal.  I’m working on letting little things go.  I tried to get Santa to hide his feet but he wasn’t getting it.  Landon didn’t cry nor did he smile.  He just kind of sat there lol.

Other memories from the day

Pixar Exhibit

Pixar Exhibit

To celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary James and I took Landon with us to visit the California Science Center in LA to see their Pixar Exhibit. Landon was amazing and napped the whole drive there and home! The exhibit explained from start to finish how they create Pixar movies.  The information was incredible and they had a lot of hands on things to try out.  Landon loved the Buzz Lightyear statue the most.  I have an even bigger appreciation for the Pixar movies now!

Happy Birthday Mickey

Happy Birthday Mickey

Today we headed to Disneyland for a trip with Paige since she is home from college for Thanksgiving break.  We had a big crew going today…Gigi, Auntie, Aunt Polly, Paige, Aunt Penny, and Brittney.  It also happened to be Mickey’s birthday!

Landon and Tessa decided to wake up wayyy earlier than normal so we were in the car headed to Disneyland at 7:40am!  Landon napped the whole way there which was nice.  Tessa and I talked and she didn’t get the phone the whole drive (I was pretty proud of that).

I brought both kids in their pjs since Landon spits up frequently and Tessa wanted to wear her Belle dress.  We arrived way eariler than everyone else so I was left to manage both kids solo (something I haven’t done yet).

Ready to go.

When we arrived we took a picture to celebrate Mickey’s birthday and then headed to the baby center to feed Landon and let Tessa use the little potty.  After seeing the princesses and Mary Poppins/Bert sing in front of the castle we met up with everyone else.

Landon’s Disneyland trips are pretty boring but he did get to ride the Storybook Canals and watch the Mickey show. While we waited for others to ride Pirates I took off Landon’s pants because it was hotter than expected.

While we did the stroller pass for Toy Stor Mania, Landon and I rode the carousel.  He wasn’t that impressed.

Our last ride was The Little Mermaid and he cried the whole time 🙁 I think 12 hours at Disneyland is a little much for him.

The kids weren’t going to last until park closing so I put Landon in the carrier and pushed Tessa back to the parking structure.  Put them in their pjs and headed home.  I was pretty proud of managing the both of them for our semi-alone Disneyland trip.
