Cake Smash

Cake Smash

Today we had our photographer, David come over today to take photos of Landon and then take his cake smash photos.  I ordered his cake from a vegan bakery so he could enjoy it.  It didn’t take long for Landon to dive into his cake!  We didn’t even get a picture of him just sitting by it.  I love how the cake smash pictures turned out.  They totally captured Landon’s personality.

Birthday Haircut

Birthday Haircut

Gigi, Tessa and I took Landon to the mall today to get his haircut for his birthday.  They had Mickey Mouse Clubhouse playing which was perfect.  Landon was good at first and then wasn’t so we gave him a sucker (his first one!).  The sucker helped a lot.  He looks so handsome and ready to celebrate!

Aunt Polly met us there and let the kids take a ride on the car.  They loved it.

Monkey See Monkey Do

Monkey See Monkey Do

We have been spending lots of time in the playroom lately.  Landon watches everything Tessa does and has been trying to “cut” the velcro food just like her.  It is so cute to watch.

Landon has also taken a liking to books…finally.  I even caught him reading to himself today.

Food

Food

Landon loves food and has discovered a love for my shakeology drink and mandarin oranges.

Personal Space

Personal Space

Landon hasn’t learned about personal space yet and will climb all over you to get what he wants.  Today we wanted Tessa out of his car so he decided to just climb in with her.

Family Bike Ride

Family Bike Ride

We took a trip down to Manhattan Beach today for breakfast on the beach and family bike ride.  Landon loved the sand!

He also loved riding in the bike seat (even though it’s pink).  We stopped after a bit of riding to get a drink and relax.  Tessa wanted to switch seats on the way home so Landon rode with me on the bike seat on the back.  He was exhausted and even fell asleep.

We then went back to Michael and Brittney’s place and they gave Landon his birthday present.  He got a shirt from their recent cruise and headphones for his first plane ride in August.

Swim lessons

Swim lessons

Landon loves the water so I’m happy we decided to sign him up for swim lessons. His class is parent and me so James went with him each day. Landon understands how to move his arms but we are still practicing kicking. He was brave and went underwater too! His favorite part of class is playing Humpty Dumpty and falling into the water from the pool deck. Since Landon is in the parent and me class and is young they didn’t do much each class.  Here are some memories from his eight days at lessons.

Day 1

Father’s Day 2017-Disneyland

Father’s Day 2017-Disneyland

Our tradition of going to Disneyland on Father’s Day started when Tessa was a baby and we took her for her first trip. Landon has been so many times already but this was his first Father’s Day trip. Father’s Day is such a great day to go because the crowds are so low. Landon had a great day riding rides, watching Mickey and the Magical Map show, meeting Mickey and watching the Soundsational Parade(the chimney sweepers were his favorite).

Noises

Noises

Tessa taught Landon how to make the “wa wa wa” noise with his hand and mouth.  He is super proud that he can do it.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Today is Daddy’s birthday!  Landon is too young to help make  his birthday cupcakes but he did help him unwrap his presents.

Then we went to Wood Ranch with Tia and Uncle Matt.  Landon decided to scream out constantly so we all had to take turns keeping his occupied outside of the restaurant.  Needless to say we won’t be going out to eat anytime soon!
