After sleeping in a hotel in Ft. Lauderdale we woke up refreshed and ready to cruise! Well, Landon woke up refreshed James and I got kicked all night long from him.
First, a hotel outfit picture.
I thought Landon would nap on the drive to the Port of Miami but he didn’t.
We made it!! Time to board the ship.
Models of how big the propellers are on the cruise ship.
It’s Michael and Brittney’s (“B”) as Landon calls her wedding day! Both Michael and Brittney were so flexible even though things were drastically changed on them last minute. Landon decided he loves weddings as much as Tessa.
Daddy was a groomsman.
Landon’s new thing is to stick out his tongue in pictures so I figured if I can’t beat him then join him.
The kids got their first virgin strawberry daiquiri
Landon was quite the dancer!
He loves Michael
Before our formal wedding dinner we had some fun at the kids water area. Paige joined us too! Landon loved this area!
Landon was bummed he wasn’t tall enough for the big kid slides.
He was tall enough for this slide though and even talked me into going down it.
Dressed for dinner
Uncle Matt stepping up to keep Landon busy during dinner.
Carousel ride after dinner
And a round of mini golf with Gigi
Here are the highlights of our day 2 adventures!
Our Caribbean cruise stopped at Roatan, Honduras today. Landon loved looking out the balcony to see the construction equipment at work. I was disappointed we had such an ugly view, but he thought it was awesome.
Headed to breakfast with Auntie
We decided to stay on the ship and go play at the water park
Landon loved the water park area. His favorite part was racing Lighting McQueen and Cruz on one of the water features.
Landon loves babies!! He was very willing to share Cruz with any baby that wanted to join him and play.
Mommy and Daddy took turns on the water slides
View from our balcony
We went to the Adventure Ocean Family Science Night and learned about how hurricanes form. Landon enjoyed his first science experiment and was a great listener!
We ran into Papa at the Promenade when we were getting snacks and Landon just happened be matching him. Papa joined us on the carousel too.
Landon got to ring the carousel bell
We opened the dividers between our balconies which the kids loved. Landon was telling Gigi about his day.
Ready for dinner and a show! Darren kept Landon busy by stealing his nose before Hairspray started. Landon loved the show!! He was dancing and clapping the whole time. He didn’t make it through the whole show so Daddy took him back to the room.
Day 3 video highlights
Today we headed to LAX to fly to Ft. Lauderdale for Landon’s first cruise! I packed plenty of snacks and entertainment in hopes that the flights would go smoothly. Landon loved pulling his suitcase and wearing his backpack.
The first leg of our flight started off rough. We were on a flight with a million crying kids! Thank goodness none of those crying kids were mine! Landon loved the tray table and was happy to watch the guy load the luggage into the plane. Tia and Auntie gave Landon is birthday present early…his own ipod!
I made the mistake of putting all the toys in Landon’s backpack so when he opened it he quickly played with each one. Next time I’ll plan better.
After a short layover in Dallas we headed to Ft. Lauderdale.
The pilot invited Landon into the cockpit and made his day! Landon was in awe of all the buttons. I’m thankful for this special moment he got to have.
Landon was great on the second leg of the flight even though he wasn’t a fan of the headphones. We landed late at night and met up with Aunt Polly and Uncle Kurt. Landon was happy to see “Poppy” as he calls her.
We headed to our hotel for the night.
