All Aboard The Symphony of the Seas

All Aboard The Symphony of the Seas

After sleeping in a hotel in Ft. Lauderdale we woke up refreshed and ready to cruise!  Well, Landon woke up refreshed James and I got kicked all night long from him.

First, a hotel outfit picture.

I thought Landon would nap on the drive to the Port of Miami but he didn’t.

We made it!! Time to board the ship.

Models of how big the propellers are on the cruise ship.

Flight to Ft. Lauderdale

Flight to Ft. Lauderdale

Today we headed to LAX to fly to Ft. Lauderdale for Landon’s first cruise! I packed plenty of snacks and entertainment in hopes that the flights would go smoothly. Landon loved pulling his suitcase and wearing his backpack.

The first leg of our flight started off rough. We were on a flight with a million crying kids! Thank goodness none of those crying kids were mine! Landon loved the tray table and was happy to watch the guy load the luggage into the plane. Tia and Auntie gave Landon is birthday present early…his own ipod!

I made the mistake of putting all the toys in Landon’s backpack so when he opened it he quickly played with each one. Next time I’ll plan better.

After a short layover in Dallas we headed to Ft. Lauderdale.

The pilot invited Landon into the cockpit and made his day! Landon was in awe of all the buttons. I’m thankful for this special moment he got to have.

Landon was great on the second leg of the flight even though he wasn’t a fan of the headphones. We landed late at night and met up with Aunt Polly and Uncle Kurt. Landon was happy to see “Poppy” as he calls her.

We headed to our hotel for the night.

Georgia Day 5

Georgia Day 5

Today we are headed to the airport to head home!  I am so proud of Landon’s behavior all week.  He loved looking at the planes at the airport with Mike.  Maybe he will become a pilot someday like Mike. Landon got lucky and had his own seat on our flight.  He sat in between Papa and Auntie at first.  He was so good and just watched his movie and even wore his headphones!  Then he decided to poop which was my worst fear but luckily he liked the airplane bathroom and wasn’t a wiggleworm while I changed his diaper.  We had a layover, ate some McDonalds and then got our flight to see Daddy.  It was so cute to see how excited Landon was to see him after we had been gone for so long.

We had a great trip full of lots of memories (and bug bites for me!)

Georgia Day 4

Georgia Day 4

Today was Auntie’s last day of her surf competition. We are so proud of how well she rode all week. Landon was well behaved again today and had fun eating ice, pushing around the Redbull cooler and playing under the tables.  After awards and Landon’s nap we went to the pool to swim.  He had fun swimming with everyone.  We are sad it is our last night is Georgia but we miss Daddy and can’t wait to see him.

Georgia Day 3

Georgia Day 3

This morning Gigi and Papa watched Tessa and Landon so I could do the Treetop Adventure course with Auntie Madi.  It was so much fun!  We had obstacles to climb through and zip lines to go down.

Once I got back we headed to the butterfly garden.  It was super hot inside but Landon loved watching the butterflies flying around.  The best part is when he would sit down on the ground thinking the butterflies would come to him.

I couldn’t be more proud of Landon’s behavior and flexible attitude this trip!  He is making me so proud.

Georgia Day 2

Georgia Day 2

Landon loved playing in the water and sand so much yesterday I just decided to start him off wearing his swim trunks today.  After breakfast we headed to the dock for more fun.  Landon loved walking back and forth to the water as well as watching the boats go by.

He then found a table on the shore with a tablecloth on it.  He thought it was super funny to hide under it.

After a nap and outfit change Landon was ready to watch Auntie surf.  Landon would “cheer” for Auntie whenever Gigi did.  It was so cute.

Auntie’s friend, Kyle was sharing ice cubes (they were very small) with Landon and he loved it!

That night everyone came to our cabin for Papa’s chicken tacos.  Landon was exhausted but wouldn’t sleep because he didn’t want to miss out on the fun.

Georgia Day 1

Georgia Day 1

Landon slept really well in the pack n play at the cabin last night which was a huge relief for me!  He woke up early as usual but I found a show called Paw Patrol that he was super into and liked watching. The cabin doesn’t have a high chair so Landon ate his breakfast at the coffee table while watching Paw Patrol.  He didn’t seem to mind though.

Then we got ready to head down to the dock and watch Auntie’s friends surf and meet everyone.  Landon was really friendly and loved playing in the sand.  For his nap Papa offered to drive him around in the air conditioned van so he could get a good rest.

Soon it was Auntie’s turn to surf.  Landon loved looking out on the dock and cheering her on!  It made me super nervous because the dock had huge openings that he could easily fall through.

So far we are having a great time!

Landon’s 1st Flight

Landon’s 1st Flight

We left early (3:50am) this morning for a flight to Georgia. We are going to watch Auntie at her surf competition this weekend. Daddy couldn’t come because of work so I was a little nervous to take this trip alone. Gigi, Papa, and Auntie all helped out a ton. Landon was great on our first flight from Ontario to Las Vegas.

We had a short layover which helped him get his wiggles out. Then we flew to Atlanta. Landon only napped for 30 mins out of the 3 hours and 30 mins we were in the air. Gigi helped me keep him happy and he even wore his headphones while listening to his movie.

Landon loved pushing his suitcase around while we waited for our luggage.

Once we got the rental car Landon passed out for another short nap before we went grocery shopping in Walmart.

I’m so proud with Landon’s behavior all day! He has been flexible and well behaved.
